Community & Church Activities

We seek to be the light of Jesus’ hope and love in our community through providing services and support as well as providing opportunity for nurture and scriptural engagement.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions we have had to amend our programs, move them online or put them on hold for the time being. Oasis Meals is now as a takeaway format, our food pantry is open Wednesdays 10am - 2pm through the office, KidsHope are sending letters from mentors to children, and Life Groups have moved online so some activities are still available and active.

Oasis Meals

Oasis Community Meals is being reimagined in this time of COVID-19. We are now offering a free takeaway meal of hot soup, bread and a muffin. Every Thursday 12-1pm. All welcome to partake and be community together.

Op Shop

Our Op Shop in its previous format has been retired. We are in the process of reimagining what this resource could look like for the wider community. We look forward to letting you know what it becomes in the near future.

Life Groups

We have a variety of Life Groups that suit a multitude of needs. We believe that life groups are central to our experience of community, being active in mission and growing in formation. If you would like to know more, please contact the office.

Kids Hope and Breakfast Club

We enjoy the privilege of connection with Eastwood Primary School through Breakfast Club and Kids Hope mentoring. Every Monday 8-9am during school terms many schoolchildren enjoy a delicious breakfast served up by our volunteers. Children at risk are mentored by a caring, fully-screened adult for one hour each week during school terms. Contact Linda Mill via our office for more information.

English Conversation Corner

During school terms we run English Conversation Corner at Eastwood Primary School in the Staffroom. This is available for anyone, over the age of 18, looking to improve their English skills. These nights are free to participate and are meant to be relaxed and supportive. Tea and coffee are available. Held Thursdays 7 - 8.30pm. Contact Tim or Debbie Brewster through the church office for more information.
